I stumbled upon this museum on a walk through the Tuileries and was floored! An 18th-century mansion /former French Navy HQ has been beautifully restored and is open for tours with a great audioguide. The interiors are so elegant and very Louis XIV-esque. If you love interior design, architecture, or French history, I highly recommend going especially if Versailles isn’t on your itinerary.
